![]() So this being a 1TB USB powered backup/storage drive earns this little drive an extra egg. For a solid 7.92GB ISO file it took 7 minutes 45 seconds at an exact speed of 18.2MB/s (never left 18.2 lol) which is totally expected for a non-externally powered USB 2.0 device such as this. ![]() For large files writes speeds were 27-58MB/s and for small file writes 18-22MB/s. Random data speeds for 4.62GB worth of data took just over 6 minutes on a USB 2.0 port. The construction is actually very ridged, and without taking it apart it feels solid enough to where it could make a good impact without too much stress to the HDD itself. You can easily stuff it into a side pocket of your laptop case or backpack. Small and very convenient for laptop users. Has a tiny white LED activity light near the USB port of the drive that is easy to see. It has a Western Digital brand mini mechanical HDD (like in a laptop).
